About Us:
Raks Rosa Bellydance Company is comprised of Elana Quihuis (director and
choreographer), Samina (assistant director) and principle dancers Radha, Hallie,
Janet , Cristina, Deborah, Eva and Kimberly Andora.
Bellydance, also known as Raks Sharki, has an ancient lineage that has
reawakened with astonishing vigor.  There are hundreds of bellydancers here in
Sonoma County!!  We take joy in coming together as a community of dancers
and sharing our joy and love of the dance.
Drawing on the classical Egyptian style, the dances we  perform combine the
intricate hip movements and body isolations of Arabic dance with the soulful
melodies and exciting rhythms of Middle Eastern music.
