My Experience With the Beauty and Joy of Belly Dance!!
Arabic Dance has inspired me my whole life, from a young girl entranced by a Bellydancer in the caves
of Cappadocia, Turkey (1992), performing professionally at Arabic Restaurants, weddings and festivals
(1994 to now), to dancing with my daughters in our living room (2007). As I hear the haunting music of a
classical Arabic song, such as one sung from the lips of Um Kalthoum, I melt and become pure dance,
sweet emotion and more than my self. Arabic dance is powerful for me in ways that no other dance
form has been. I have studied ballet, jazz, modern, African, Brazilian and Tahitian dance (to name a
few); all wonderful in their own right, but belly dance struck my heart with a gilded arrow and I haven't
looked back since. It is a beautiful and graceful Art that permeates the dancer's entire being. It is both
fantastically fun and lighthearted but also deeply soulful and transformative. It can lift your emotions,
strengthen your body, and build bridges between cultures and people you may have never met
otherwise. I love this dance!!!
I have devoted many years to studying, performing and sharing this art form with others and I hope I
have many years ahead of me to continue this love affair with the greatest Dance on earth.

| Mezmerising Dance Performances Check out one of my next performances in Sonoma county, CA. Are you interested in hiring a Bellydancer for your next event? A Bellydance performance is the perfect compliment to weddings, birthday parties, baby showers, blessing ways and holiday celebrations. Choose from a basic Cabaret package (20 minute solo with audience participation) to a Duet or Troupe of dancers ( 20 minutes to 1 hour performance were each dancer performs a specialty dance; I.E. Cane, sword or veil with additional group choreographies and solos). |
| Learn to Belly Dance: Classes from Beginning to Advanced I offer classes in both Bellydance technique and choreography. I teach all levels and adore sharing my knowledge and passion for the dance. My class environment is warm and encouraging. It is a place where you can learn to dance without being judged or intimidated. Each class begins with a thorough warm up and then focuses on technique and/or choreography and ends with a yoga inspired cool down. . |
